Exclusion Audiences

Exclusion Audiences help you avoid targeting any of your current customers or contacts so that your audience only includes net new companies and/or people.

When you apply an exclusion audience to any Primer audience, you are telling Primer that you don't want any companies or people as part of that exclusion audience to be a part of the output. This is known as a suppression audience.

There are two ways to exclude records from your audience:

  1. In-Audience Exclusions: This is a great way to exclude records one-off, for example, to ensure that you have the most precise job title targeting possible for a specific audience.

  1. Referential Exclusion Audiences: This is a great way to systemically exclude a group of companies or people from your audiences. This is commonly used for competitors, existing customers, or internal employees.
