Apply Audiences to PMax Campaigns As Signals

How to Apply Primer Audiences as Signals for Performance Max Campaigns

  1. Navigate to Google Ads Manager

    • Sign into your Google Ads account and head to the Campaigns tab.

  2. Select Your Performance Max Campaign

    • Find and click on the Performance Max campaign you want to edit.

  3. Open Asset Groups

    • Within the campaign, go to Asset Groups.

  4. Edit Audience Signals

    • Click the Edit icon next to Signals.

  5. Search or Browse Your Customer Lists

    • Look for the Primer audiences you want to use as signals.

    • You can search by audience name or browse through your lists to locate them.

  6. Apply and Save

    • Add each relevant Primer audience (e.g., audiences that represent your ICP).

    • Click Save to finalize the changes.

Once saved, you’re all set! Your Performance Max campaign will now use these Primer audiences as signals to optimize targeting and performance.
