# Facebook Custom Audiences Terms of Service

#### Quick fix (Recommended): Accept Facebook Custom Audiences TOS directly

Facebook has recently updated their Custom Audiences flow, and the guided steps below may not always work.\
The fastest way to resolve this error is to accept the Custom Audiences Terms of Service directly:

1\. Open the link below in your browser:

```
https://business.facebook.com/ads/manage/customaudiences/tos/?act=<AD_ACCOUNT_ID>
```

2\. Replace `<AD_ACCOUNT_ID>` with your numeric Facebook Ad Account ID\
&#x20;Example:

```
https://business.facebook.com/ads/manage/customaudiences/tos/?act=1454546193553406
```

3\. Make sure you are logged in with an account that has Admin access.\
4\. Accept the terms.\
5\. Return to Primer and disconnect & reconnect your Meta connection.

#### Alternative method (if the quick fix above does not work):

**Navigating Audiences within Your Facebook Business Manager**

From Business Settings in Facebook navigate to **Business Tools menu > Audiences** under Shortcuts. Business Tools can be found by clicking the square on the toolbar.

#### Create a Customer List Custom Audience

In the **Create Audiences** dropdown, choose **Custom Audience**. Select **Customer list**, and then click **Next**. The next page, entitled How to Prepare Your Customer List, will prompt you to click **Next** again. The following page, entitled Select List Type, will allow you to click on a link to the Facebook Business Tools Terms, in blue at the bottom of the page.&#x20;

#### Accept the Terms

You can accept the terms using the **Accept** button at the top of the page.&#x20;

#### Reconnect! <a href="#reconnect" id="reconnect"></a>

Once terms are accepted, you'll need to refresh your access token provided to our platform. Simply disconnect and reconnect on the [Connections](https://my.sayprimer.com/connections) page.

Make sure you have Admin level permissions on the business account.

*Note that you need to replace  {ACCOUNT\_ID} with your ad account ID and {BUSINESS\_ID} with your own business ID.*

#### Custom Audiences ToS - Ad account level: <a href="#custom-audiences-tos---a-d-account-level" id="custom-audiences-tos---a-d-account-level"></a>

For each ad account you might need to use, you'll have to make sure that their ToS are also accepted. To do so, use the following URL by replacing {ACCOUNT\_ID} with your ad account IDs (act\_xxxx format): [https://business.facebook.com/ads/manage/customaudiences/tos/?act=\<AD\_ACCOUNT\_ID>](https://business.facebook.com/ads/manage/customaudiences/tos/?act=%3CAD_ACCOUNT_ID%3E)

Replace \<AD\_ACCOUNT\_ID> with your numeric Facebook ad account ID (example: 1499546193553406).

Then come back to Primer and reconnect your account
